Sprawl, Cul-de-sacs and what we build. This video states that 1 million people in a suburb equates to a 400 square mile foot print. They claim that if we re arrange things had more sustainable living communities we can preserve more. Driving everywhere, if it’s a “short trip” is polluting our air and heating our planet. By developing this way we would have more habitats, parks, and beautiful things surrounding us rather than freeways and parking garages. Many people do not work or go to school in the same community that they live in. They either cant afford it or choose a field of work that isn’t near their place of residents. If we were to plan out what we develop in the future, things would be more accessible and communities would thrive within themselves instead of being so spread out. I really agree with this video and am curious what the appropriate steps would be to implement this into our current society.*
